Columns and suggested data types
Row 1 of the sheet holds the column names. In the app, give each column one of these types and the scan form fills itself in.
| Column | App data type | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Time | Timestamp | When the asset was scanned. |
| Asset tag | QR / Barcode | The tag or QR code stuck on the item. |
| Asset | Text | Name or model. |
| Assigned to | Select | Person or crew. |
| Location | Select | Site, room or vehicle. |
| Condition | Select | For example Good or Needs service. |
| Note | Text | Free text. |
Tip
Each scan is a new row, so the sheet doubles as a history. Filter by Asset tag to see everywhere an item has been.
