FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is this barcode generator free?
Yes. It runs in your browser, needs no account and nothing you type is uploaded.
Which barcode type should I choose?
Use Code 128 for general inventory, bin and shelf labels because it accepts any text or numbers. Use EAN-13 or UPC-A only when you need a retail product barcode, and Code 39 for simple asset tags.
How do I scan the barcodes into Google Sheets?
Print or display the labels, then scan them with Scan to Google Sheets — each scan is written as a new row in your spreadsheet.
Why does my EAN-13 or UPC code show an error?
EAN-13 needs 12 or 13 digits and UPC-A needs 11 or 12 digits. Letters are not allowed. Switch to Code 128 if your values contain text.

Generate the labels. Let your phone do the scanning.

Scan to Google Sheets sends every scan straight into your spreadsheet.
